Laura Theiss
Lithuanian-born Laura's passion for knitwear began at a very young age. "It's a sort of language embedded in my DNA and I find it easy to express myself through it" she explains, the best part being that she can create her own fabric through a needle and yarn.
She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2009 and is now dividing between Germany and the UK; where she is inspired by the mix of Germany's practicality and London's edginess.
Her graduating collection "The World, The Flesh and The Devil" paints her signature style and structure. To bring together this collection she went on an imaginary journey through Tokyo, Shanghai, Vilnius, Frankfurt to London and picked up on different elements from each city. Pleats from Japan, the colour pallet from Shanghai, crochet and stripes inspired by Vilnius etc.
